Accessibility statement

Krakow Festival Office undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and applications of mobile public entities. The statement concerning accessibility applies to the website The Kraków Culture website.

Date of preparation of the Declaration and method of evaluation of digital accessibility
The website is partly inconsistent with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and applications of mobile public entities due to inconsistencies or exclusions mentioned below.

The website does not ensure full accessibility. Images do not contain alternative texts for visually impaired persons. Some films do not contain subtitles/translations for deaf persons or audio description for persons with visual impairment. The improvement of accessibility would involve an excessive burden for the public entity.

The statement was made on: 2021-03-30. The declaration was prepared on the basis of self-assessment performed by the public entity.

Information on the procedure
Everyone has the right to request the provision of digital accessibility of the website. The request should contain the data of the person submitting the request and the method of contact. If the requesting person reports the need to receive information using an alternative method of access, he/she should also specify the method of presenting this information that would be convenient for him/her. The public entity should fulfil the request immediately, not later than within 7 days from the date of the request. If it is not possible to comply with this time-limit, the public entity informs the requesting person immediately when the fulfilment of the request is possible; however, this time-limit must not be longer than 2 months from the date of the request. If it is not possible to ensure digital accessibility, the public entity may offer an alternative method of access to information. If the public entity refuses to fulfil the request for accessibility or an alternative method of access to information, the requesting person may submit a complaint about ensuring the digital accessibility of the website or mobile application or an element of the website or mobile application. Upon exhaustion of the aforementioned procedure, it is also possible to submit a request to the Ombudsman.

Access

You can leave your vehicle on a car park (to be agreed upon, phone +48 12 354 25 00), public transport access – stops: Rondo Grunwaldzkie, Centrum Kongresowe ICE Kraków and Osiedle Podwawelskie (loop)
Entrance to the building: the doorstep in front of the entrance, it is possible to ask for help via entryphone.

The reception desk is located opposite the entrance to the building.
The WC is not available to persons on wheelchairs.
A sign-language interpreter is not available on the spot or online. There is no induction loop.
Blind persons may move inside the building in the presence of a guide dog.

ICE Kraków Congress Centre, Ul. M. Konopnickiej 17

During each event held in the Centre, the Audience Service personnel is at the disposal of guests. They will give you all necessary information and help you find and reach a specific seat in the auditorium or foyer. The Audience Service personnel is present in the Centre at least one hour before the event.

Car park / Lifts
We have properly marked parking places on the underground car park. You can get from the car park straight to the foyer by lift. Further lifts are located inside the building – some of them are within the borders of the Theatre Hall. They make it possible to move between 4 levels of the foyer. Another passageway is located near the side entrance on the side of Hotel Park Inn – from there, you can get by lift directly to rooms on the 3rd floor of ICE Kraków.

WC / Cloakroom
WCs are located at every level of the building. The cloakroom is located in the foyer on Level 0 – on the left side of the main entrance.

Medical Room
The entrance to the medical room is located in the foyer on Level 0, near passenger lifts. The room is equipped with a couch, a wheelchair, a stretcher, a drip stand, a first aid kit and basic medical supplies (bandages, dressings, etc.). The will to make use of the medical room must be reported to the personnel of ICE Kraków or a representative of the organiser of the event.

Accessibility For Persons With Visual Disability

The building is architecturally accessible to persons with visual disability. Access is fairly convenient, and the nearby intersection has audio signals. The personnel on the spot will give you necessary information, and assistance services are provided during selected events. According to the Act on Social and Professional Rehabilitation, a disabled person is allowed to stay on the premises with an assisting dog.

In co-operation with the Dobrze Association, we have prepared audio descriptions of access paths from public transport stops and selected facilities and rooms, which will help you reach and move around the venue of the ICE Kraków Congress Centre. Accessibility for persons with motor disability

Car Park
We have properly marked parking places (i.e. “blue envelopes”) on the underground car park.

Entrance to the building
The non-threshold door fitted in the Centre make it easier to access the building. The main entrance to the building from ul. Barska is provided with two revolving doors, but you can also find a photocell-operated door on the right beside them. In addition, there is a ramp for wheelchairs near the Centre.

WC / Cloakrooms
At ICE Kraków, we have WCs adapted to the needs of the disabled – such WCs are much larger than standard cabins and are provided with bigger washbasins fitted on a lower height, toilet bowls for the disabled and handrails making it easier to get up from wheelchairs. WCs of this kind are located at every level.

The cloakroom is located in the foyer on Level 0 – on the left side of the main entrance.

Widownia
Miejsca dla osób poruszających się na wózkach znajdują się przy dedykowanych miejscach:

W wyposażeniu budynku znajdują się platformy pod wózki dla osób z niepełnosprawnością ruchową, co zwiększa dostępność widowni poprzez przeznaczenie ww. osobom miejsc dedykowanych tylko dla nich.

Dostępność dla osób z niepełnosprawnością słuchu
W budynku nie dysponujemy pętlą indukcyjną. Przy wybranych wydarzeniach korzystamy z usług tłumacza Polskiego Języka Migowego. Wybrani pracownicy przeszli kurs podstaw PJM w Polskim Związku Głuchych – Oddział Małopolski.

Osoby niewidome mogą poruszać się wewnątrz budynku w obecności psa przewodnika.

Budynek jest dostosowany do potrzeb osób z niepełnosprawnościami.

Toalety (płatne) na zewnątrz budynku są dostosowane do potrzeb osób z niepełnosprawnością – posiadają oznaczenia i szerokie drzwi wejściowe. UWAGA! Aby dostać się do samego budynku, trzeba pokonać strome schody. Osoby poruszające się na wózkach mogą skorzystać z podjazdu.

Osoby niewidome mogą poruszać się wewnątrz budynku w obecności psa przewodnika.

W budynku dysponujemy pętlą indukcyjną stanowiskową w recepcji na I piętrze. Przy wybranych wydarzeniach korzystamy z usług tłumacza Polskiego Języka Migowego. Wybrani pracownicy przeszli kurs podstaw PJM w Polskim Związku Głuchych – Oddział Małopolski.
